ATEP is focused on the betterment of drafting new trust and estate planning law for Alaska, and all individuals seeking membership should be ready to actively contribute towards this objective. ATEP membership is an opportunity to actively participate in the future of trust and estate planning law in Alaska. Our hope is that the work that Alaska's trust industry pioneers have accomplished will be continued by dedicated practitioners in the state for years to come for the benefit of the State of Alaska and all Alaskans.

ATEP members are dedicated to the creation and betterment of Alaskan law pertaining to all trusts and estates held and administered in the State of Alaska. Individuals seeking to become members must meet ATEP requirements as well as have an interest in positively advancing the future of trust and state law planning for all Alaskans.

ATEP membership is open to anyone who meets both the general membership requirements and the eligibility requirements to serve on at least one committee. See our Membership page to find out more and fill out our Membership Application.

No. ATEP membership is open only to individuals who meet both the general membership requirements and the eligibility requirements to serve on at least one committee. 

To be a member of ATEP you must:

• Currently work in or have retired from the trust and/or estate planning  or related field
• Meet eligibility requirements for at least one ATEP Committee
• Have an interest in actively participating in the efforts of one or more ATEP Committee(s)

In order to prevent any one organization from exerting a monopolizing influence on the outcome of any vote brought before the entire membership, only one vote may be cast between the members belonging to any one organization. Members from the same organization must determine between themselves which of them will be responsible for casting the vote. In the event of a dispute on which member has the authority to cast the final vote, ATEP's Board of Directors maintains full discretion to make a final decision.
